The Great American Piano Company is centrally located in Parsippany, New Jersey. It’s close proximity to the intersections of Routes 80, 287, 280 and 46 makes it an easy commute from all of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

With over 50 different new and used brands, colors and styles from Europe, Japan, America, Indonesia and China, you will never have a problem finding the perfect piano for your playing ability, decor and budget. Low overhead and non-commissioned salespeople always guarantees you the best quality at the lowest price!

All of our new pianos come with Factory Warranties. We do not sell “stencil” or “private label” brands. These brands are only warrantied by the store, not by the manufacturers. If that store goes out of business, then you have no warranty. At The Great American Piano Company, you always get factory warranty service on any new piano purchased.

Our certified pre-owned pianos are individually inspected by an independent member of The Piano Technicians Guild ( P.T.G. ) before they are put in the showroom for sale. Every component is checked and any repairs neccessary are done. After the technician has inspected the piano and it meets his standards, he signs an inspection form and attaches it to the piano. Only then will we sell it to a customer. Pianos that don’t meet our standards get discarded. All of our pianos come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee and a Lifetime Trade-Up Policy.

Our 43 years experience in the piano industry guarantees that when you visit The Great American Piano Company, you will receive the professional care and a piano education that will help you make an intelligent decision on which piano is right for you. Our relaxed, no pressure sales environment will let you take as much time as you need to choose the piano of your dreams!

The author’s repeated references to square pianos, “international” vs. “concert” tuning frequencies, and tuning to C-517.3 are comically antiquated. I appreciate a mathematical approach to tuning, but the discussions in chapters 8-14 are a clumsy attempt
